Midnight Blue
Midnight Blue

1-year-old female

To meet Midnight Blue, please ask for Susan F.

Midnight Blue was born on April 6, 2009. She is now a little over a year old, but still very much a kitten in spirit and activity level. She and her mother came to us when she was about 3 months old. Her mother, named Slippers, by her rescuer, and has been adopted. She was a black and white, short-haired domestic cat. Midnight Blue no longer has her kitten blue eyes, but is definitely black, but has a few white spots and whiskers from her mother's side of the family.

Midnight Blue has had all her vaccinations, was negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia, and has been spayed so she's just waiting for you to adopt her. Her personality is still evolving. She is petite, as was her mother. She is still a little shy, but since her mother has moved on, she has grown used to her foster's male tabby, Rikki, and her foster's dogs, as well. When she want to sit beside you on the sofa, she enjoys her face and head petted and scratched. However, she'll let you know it's time to stop when she playfully bites. Once you are used to it, you'll learn not to pull away your hand, and she will not bite down. Then you know it's time to let her do her own "thing."

She is a good eater and knows how to use the litter box without too much scatter. She uses a covered box, which helps limit to litter. She also talks when she wants your attention. This is usually after everyone has settled in for the evening, and she wants to be petted. She'll hop up on the bed, regardless of whom else is present: dogs and/or cat, and once she's had some head scratching, will flip over to express her enjoyment of the attention. But just as quickly, she'll hop off the bed to find her own cozy sofa to stretch out on for the night. Oh, she is an excellent in-door hunter of bugs and especially likes flies!
