Miss Saigon

2-year-old spayed female

To meet Miss Saigon, please ask for Amy R.

PAW has a special relationship with a church in Greenbelt that allows us to use their facilities for meetings and events. The ladies of the church recently contacted PAW and asked for help. It seems that a man who lived in an old trailer on rented land next door to the church had been evicted. When he left, he abandoned numerous cats and kittens that had lived with him as indoor/outdoor pets. The church ladies had been feeding the kitties under the church's shed and rigged up a shelter out of tarps. Knowing that this is how large cat colonies get started, PAW caught the cats and now we're looking for good homes for these kitties.

The church cats are tame and friendly, but are very scared given their recent rescue efforts and their limited interaction with people. Our PAW volunteers are giving them extra TLC to so they can be comfortable in a new home. All have tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV and have been vaccinated and spayed/neutered. They are now looking for forever homes with loving owners who will understand their initial shyness.

Miss Saigon is likely Dragon's mom. She is a gorgeous spayed Siamese mix with bright blue eyes and beige fur with gray points. Unlike typical Siamese, she is not a loud or frequent talker. Approximately one year old, Miss Saigon is timid around humans and scared of dogs (there has been hissing!). However, she is easily handled and once secure in her surroundings, should make a lovely pet.
