To meet Verizon,

Guest Cat

Verizon is a Bengal cat, approximately 2 years old, neutered male. He has had his distemper and rabies shots and tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV.

Verizon was found in a lady's backyard, emaciated and eating the bird seed she put out for the birds. Verizon was quickly and willingly captured with cat food.

Other than his very emaciated condition at the time, he is a very healthy, affectionate cat, to people and to the resident dog In the evening, Verizon goes over and lays down with the dog on the sofa.

Verizon, being a Bengal cat, will need an experienced cat owner, especially regarding his safety, as he will try to get out, and, if he does, you will likely not ever get him back. He wants to be outside and may wander off, (it's that wanderlust in him).

Bengals are not your laid-back lap cat! They are often quite naughty and can be a handful, they are not for the inexperienced or nervous cat owner!

The Bengal cat is athletic, strong, intelligent, and needs to be kept busy, so another cat might be a good idea, but also interactive toys. Verizon loves to play all of the time and is almost always "on the move." Bengals are also very vocal and loud – they will always tell you when they want something such as food or the litter box to be cleaned out (did I mention they can be fussy over these things?). The Bengal meow is not easily ignored!

Although Bengals can be naughty and loud, they are also great fun and love to play with their humans. They are affectionate and it’s not unusual for them to form a great loyalty to a single member of the household.

Please read about Bengals from this site, and there are many, before you decide if this breed is for you..
