ANGEL |
|
|
Angel was picked up as a stray this summer and taken to the shelter. His coat
was matted and filthy, he was painfully thin, and he was suffering from
heartworm. Just another neglected older dog that someone didn't want anymore.
Shelter workers deal with many hundreds of dogs, so when they think that one
of them is special, you can be sure it is true. This dog was so sweet and
loving, and tried so hard to please, they decided to call him Angel (yes, even
though he is a boy!). They took him out of the shelter and paid for him to
stay at a vet's office while they looked for a rescue to take him.
Angel is a different dog now. His coat is shiny, he has put on weight, and the
heartworm is gone. Now he is looking for a gentle, loving home, where he can
be with his person most of the time - he just wants to be with you, watching
what you are doing and occasionally demanding a little attention. He enjoys
his walks but no longer needs long hikes or vigorous exercise. He would do
great with other dogs who are also past the romping and rolling stage and
would probably co-exist happily with cats as well.
If you are looking for a gentle, ultra-loving companion this could be the dog
for you.
