CARLY

CARLY is a nice "young" lady who feels that age is but a number. She is as playful as a puppy, her favorite activity being chasing balls. CARLY was given back to the shelter from whence she came after a mere year and a half because the owners could no longer afford to care for her. CARLY is a very sweet little dog, who is looking for someone interested in getting some exercise, she she needs to shed a pound or two! Now this fun-loving gal is now looking for her real forever home, so please come and meet her before someone else recognizes her value and scoops her up.

Update March 5: Carly is doing wonderfully in her foster home! She rides calmly and quietly in the car, is crate-trained and apparently house-broken (no accidents so far). She is curious about the other dogs and cats. Since the resident dogs aren't yet ready to play with her, she pretty much leaves them alone. She has shown no aggression to the cats, or to the young children in the house (5 and 7 year old boys). In fact, she seems to enjoy attention from them and does not seemed concerned by their boyish behavior. Although she is somewhat portly, she is very happy to chase a ball or squeaky toy and has adapted to her new diet of high quality senior dry food (no more table food for this little girl!) So, her foster mom thinks that she will be getting in fine form shortly. Most importantly, Carly is sweet and attentive and very ready to bond with a new family. She likes to rest calmly at her foster mom's feet, or play with her toys quietly on a dog bed while her foster family settles down for the evening. She is a lovely little dog who will bring delight to whomever is lucky enough to become her new and forever family.
