Cashew has been with his foster family after an abuse/neglect situation for about two months now, and what a difference it's made! He has decided that this whole "indoor living" thing is actually quite nice, with its soft beds, neck scratches, and endless supply of food and treats. A dog could get used to this treatment. Cashew is pretty much an ideal dog. He's fully house-trained, good with cats, dogs, and children, doesn't beg at the table, and doesn't bark excessively. He feels most comfortable with another dog who can show him things that are okay, but he also loves his humans and will happily lie at their feet or next to them on the couch. Cashew even sleeps with his boy human and dog pal every night, and stays politely at the foot of the bed, waiting until someone is up before asking to go outside with a wag. He is most carefree sitting in the yard with his person watching the world go by, occasionally warning squirrels away with a cute "Poof! Poof" bark or baying beagle-like at loud trucks. A bit of an introvert, his least favorite things are loud noises and new situations. [CASHEW ]

This dog has come so far in two months, and whoever he ends up with will surely see him blossom into the most loyal companion they've ever met. If you're looking for a sweet, mellow, low-maintenance dog, Cashew is the dog for you
