MR. BO

Our MR. BO, also known as Columbo, was turned over to a shelter because his owners had too many dogs. He was just an expendable piece of property to them, dropped off without a backward glance. The shelter tells us that management there at the shelter had their eye on MR. BO to use for euthanasia training. The rescue coordinator pleaded that he be given a reprieve from that duty and so started calling and emailing rescues to save him from his plight.

MR. BO has been with PAW for many months now, probably because people look at him and see an ordinary hound/shepherd dog and keep clicking by. Let’s be clear, MR. BO is anything but ordinary. His beginnings were slim as he was probably taken from his Mom too early and so not allowed to learn from his littermates the best practices for being sure that he would be snapped up by a great person looking for a fine and faithful friend, ready to go right off the shelf as the perfect dog. He surely is a fine and faithful friend though sometimes he is a little rough around the edges. MR. BO is easily bored by the mundane, such as standing around at an adoption show and so he is overlooked there also. Given lots of exercise MR. BO would be anything but bored. We just wanted to help get the word out for him that he really is trying to be patient looking for that fine person who is looking for a fine friend who with a little work, will make a wonderful companion. Could that be you?

MR. BO is a favorite among the volunteers, waiting for his forever friend to rescue him. He is sweet, beautiful, intelligent and endearing. He gets along well with other dogs.
