Handsome Harry is a real gentleman - being a little more mature than some of the other young whippersnappers on the PAW site, he is calm and gentle. But don't get us wrong. Harry is by no means past his best. He just won't be tearing round the house or bounding on and off the furniture. Even though he is isn't small, he is easy to walk on leash. He is friendly with other dogs (we don't know about cats yet), knows all the basic commands like "sit" and "down", and will solemnly give you his paw when you ask for it - somewhere in his past, someone trained him. But whoever it was also abandoned him and he ended up at the shelter, where he became a firm favorite with the staff, because of his good manners and friendly attitude. And then there are those magnificent side whiskers. How can one resist?
UPDATE Feb 25- As Harry has settled into his foster home his personality has just blossomed! He is constantly amazing his foster Mom with how smart he is and how many commands he knows and obeys. He loves to play, both with his doggy foster brother and with his toys, and is always willing to initiate a game. He is very easy to brush or bathe, doesn't seem to shed much, and is friendly with absolutely everyone - even the two cats he is sharing his foster home with. He is completely housebroken and will signal if he needs to go out. He will bark if someone approaches the house, but will stop on command.
Harry may have a food allergy, which PAW is currently investigating, so it may be important to keep him on a specific diet, or exclude something from his diet in the future.
