LANCE |

Lance's owner was forced out of their home and the rest of the family decided that Lance had to go too, so they called animal control to come and collect him. Meanwhile, he was set free to run loose around the neighborhood, and so he had to be chased down and caught, only to be sent away, unwanted. Lance was kept in an outdoor kennel, so he wasn't part of the family and probably hadn't been since he was a cute little puppy. Because of this bad start in life, poor Lance needs a chance to learn what it is like to be part of a loving home.
Lance would be best with experienced dog owners who have the time and commitment to own and care for a dog. He needs to be shown how to walk properly on leash and to do other things dogs his age would have already learned. Lance's PAW pals will start the training process, but he definitely needs to be taken to obedience training classes. We know that Lance is eager to please and will make a wonderful companion for the right person.

Handsome Lance is making great progress! He walks nicely on leash, enjoys rides in the car (especially when they end in a nice walk somewhere) and is turning out to be a laid back sort of guy who, once he has had a bit of exercise, is just happy to lie down at your feet and relax. He is also pretty smart - he already knows "sit" and "down" and is ready to carry on learning. He would definitely enjoy obedience classes with his new family.
