Like his brothers, Cashew and Snickers, Toffee had a rough beginning in life. He was seized from his home for cruelty/neglect and spent life outdoors. He is shy when you meet him, but quickly warms up once he realizes you are good people. Toffee's favorite thing to do is cuddle with his humans. He follows his foster Mom everywhere and if she sits down, you can be sure he is in her lap. Young kids fast movements can scare Toffee so he would do best either in an adult only home or one with older kids. Toffee lives with 3 canine foster siblings. He is not playful with them, but coexists peacefully with them. However Toffee does appreciate his personal space and if a larger energetic dog gets in his face he will give the them a little lip curl and a snarl letting them know they are too close. Toffee has visited friend's homes with cats and he seems fine around them. If you are looking for a sweet lap dog to spend your evenings with, Toffee is the one for you. Toffee can be a bit barky when his foster Mom leaves home, so Toffee should be placed with someone who lives in a house versus an apartment.
