THELMA & LOUISE

Louise & Thelma

I first fell in love with Louise (formerly named Minnie) when she nestled her face under my hair and lulled herself to sleep by gently sucking on my neck at a PAW adoption show. Her sister Thelma (formerly Maggie) was a bit shyer, but I knew that if I was going to adopt Louise, then I would have to adopt Thelma as well since the two sisters were so dependent on each other. It turned out to be a great decision!
While Thelma is still a bit shy, she has made leaps and bounds from where she was when I first got her. She is usually the first to greet me in the morning, asking for rubbies and throat scratches. It is so rewarding to gain her trust, especially given that she was so frightened of humans at first. Louise, of course, is still the lover girl she always was! I often wake up in the morning to find her asleep on my pillow, with her paw on my cheek or shoulder. What a great way to start the day! The little ones have taken over the house, and I can't imagine my life without them.

Oh, you may wonder why they are named Thelma and Louise. Well, it's because I am convinced they are going to kill themselves by accidentally running over the edge of the stairs during their energetic chase games! It's amazing how such small creatures can play so hard! But their games are a constant source of entertainment, for both them and me!
